What I Specialise In
As I've said elsewhere, I tend to 'focus' (sorry...) on location photography. Of course, that's still a pretty wide-ranging description, so more specifically:
Industrial Photography
In simple terms, plant and machinery. Which can be anything from engineering prototypes to refineries. Or from the most intricate details of a precision manufacturing process to assembly on a giant scale. Everything presents a different challenge, a different creative opportunity. Just the way I like it.
My expertise and experience embraces these disciplines:
- energy industry
- engineering industry
- offshore industry
- technology industry
People In Their Working Environment
Some people love the camera. They're naturals. Others... well, let's just say they're not so comfortable being in front of a lens.
So part of my job is ensuring you can't tell the difference. Putting people at ease is an important aspect of getting good shots; the more relaxed they are, the more comfortable (and, let's be honest, the more readily they'll do what I ask).
Plus of course I'm well aware you probably don't want me bringing your facility to a grinding halt for a morning, so generally I work as unobtrusively as possible.
Specialist Oil Industry Photography, in the UK & Internationally
I get about a bit. Onshore. Offshore (yes, I do have all the requisite certification). Some days I'll be no more than a few miles up the road. And sometimes I'll be halfway across the world.
Don't Take My Word For It
Like most photographers, I'm much more comfortable doing my job than talking – or writing – about it. (You can't imagine how nerve-wracking this has been).

Not every job fits neatly into one of the above categories. I like a challenge, so if you've got a project you want to discuss, get in touch.
